255/85/16’s on stock suspension or 265/75/16’s on 2” OME lift?

I’ve been going back and forth on this. Do I go 255/85/16’s on stock suspension or 265/75/16’s on 2” OME lift? Biggest weak spot for the trails I’ve been on is ground clearance scraping the front TRD pro skid and dragging the rear end hitch. This is a daily driver and I’d like to go down as few rabbit holes as possible, but I know I have possible rub issues on option one and vibe issues on option two. By the way, I’m already on 265/75/16 Duratracs. Anyone done both of these have some advice?

In was on 265/75r16 with spacers then lifted 3" with OME. Changed out the 265/75r16 for 255/85r16 after that. That is all in chronological order, and each stepwas an improvement.

The taller tire will get your undercarriage higher, the lift will get your vehicle higher. I'd go bigger tire then lift.

I ran the OME suspension and wasn’t a fan due to the stiffness. The 90021’s with 590# medium coils were stiffer than my new shocks with 700# coils. OME is designed for heavy rigs that “overland”.

I would go to Bilstein if you want a budget minded setup that can do the trails

Seems that both options get you to the same place and that the easiest thing to do would be the 255's. Kind of a no-brainer.
