05/30/19 - is this considered a mod?? Moved the internals of my fob over to the sweet @MESO minimalist key fob. This sucker is light, matches the truck, and feels good in the pocket... oh, it has an integrated bottle opener!! WIN!

05/31/19 - Scored some @MESO Ultimate Tails Stage 1 and got to install them. First impressions are that its bright!!!! And why the hell didnt toyota do it this way??? Its sweet how when locking and unlocking, all the turn signals blink yellow. Overall, this is a must have mod so get you some!

06/01/19 - I reinstalled the propane tank in prep for the upcoming trip with the GF to NM. I am not really sure the best place to put this but for now, this should work:

Alright, I am all caught up for right now... I have a decent list remaining before the trip so I hope to keep knocking out projects one at a time, one day at a time. Most are small tasks to get ready for the trip like wiring, oil change, etc but there are also a couple of more involved items to knock out.

Do you have the stock bed lights in the bed? I've been thinking about picking up a set for mine because I I find the stock bed lights lacking when I'm loaded up and looking for something in the dark.
I have resisted ordering one. I think I really want it but I use the key in my fob for my tailgate. I need to talk myself into getting the pop-n-lock so I dont need the key to lock the tailgate.
Was it as easy to install as I said? They do work really well and I love the amber turn in the reverse bucket over the stock setup. I am curious how much brighter the v2's really are in person. Sometime we'll have to compare your v1's to my v2's next to each other in the dark! Have you reversed at night using the back up camera. The image seemed much clearer to me with both the v1's and v2's from the extra light output.

Mine didnt have any lights in the bed. I wonder if you had a dealer added option with some? Are the angled back and located towards the rear of the bed but face back towards the front?

In all the time I have had the truck, i havent used that key yet. I think its because i have the swingout on the rear bumper and it covers it... :notsure: Pop-n-lock looks sweet. There is a PnP harness and kit now for that IIRC from @KTJO 4x4

Dude, it was a breeze! The hardest part was getting the tails out from their spots due to the rear bumpers hoops... lol But, stage 1 was super easy. I have wondered about stage 2 but these are plenty bright... like super bright! lol

The bed lights that came on mine are a stock option. Maybe it was apart of the offroad package? I cant remember for sure but they are just like you describe, on the bedside near the tailgate facing the cab and then the 3 brake light works with them to light the bed up. The 3rd brake light is useless with the midrack and RTT or any type of shell/GFC setup.
I've seen the fully plug and play popnlock setup. I carry my cooler in my bed a lot so locking the tailgate just ads protection from it being stolen with the rack and tent only leaving the tailgate to pull it out.
I would have kept my stage 1 tails had my depo pros not been getting dust in them. S1's are bright and the overall better function was my biggest reason for getting them originally before I grabbed the pre-modded stage 2's.

6/6/19 - Reinstalled the Ax/Shovel mount on the front bed rail. The mosquitos were out in force so i sat in the bed with the tailgate shut and the panels closed. The LED bed lights worked great and it wasnt bad at all in there. I should have taken a fan though cuz it did get hot. Im probably going to move this more to the drivers side so I can reach in from the drivers side and grab the shovel or ax easier.

06/06/19 - Added an ARB Air locker Purge Valve to combat oil going back up the air hose and out the compressor solenoid making a mess in the engine bay. Hopefully this works... there really isnt too much info on the net about this. ECGS recommended this but i dunno, feels like it shouldnt have gear oil going back up the air hose :notsure::notsure:
