People are insane! Very over priced Tacoma’s

If they’re willing to pay it, they are bending themselves over. Unless somebody is putting a gun to their heads and forcing them to sign the contract?

 

In fairness, we don’t park our hookers and our stash in front with a price sign on it.

You would be amazed at what people will pay for something they want. I have sold and shipped vehicle's all over the states to someone who was willing to pay a stupid amount of money for it. I sat on an FJ-40 for years, then one day someone paid what I was asking for it. If they have the money, and can afford it. Someone will buy it.

 

You say that about the Tacoma. But I’ve seen bone stock gladiators on dealer lots with $60k+ price tags

 

Some guys are having issues with dealerships not wanting to do TSB or Warranty work (specifically with front facing sensors) because of lifts or different (even OEM TOYOTA) grills.

I'm a firm believer in buy a stock vehicle then modify to your liking, but I would agree that these are just an easy way for the dealership to make a few grand more per truck.

BUT with proper knowledge you could probably get into one of these cheaper than having to pay for it aftermarket. You'd just have to be prepared with your facts, number and negotiation. I mean a stock TRD-OR sits on the lot for like 2-3 days around here, but these heavily modified ones tend to sit around. So you could use that to your advantage.

 

Seen some bone stock TRD-Pro's go for $70K+

 

Highest I’ve seen a pro sticker price in person was 50k

Pay more but you pay over the course of your financing term so in many ways it is less painless that paying for mods upfront. It’s so easy to fall for this that we all do, ie mortgages!

 

I look at it this way. If it makes you happy why not.

My local dealership does this same package. Ready lift spacer lift, pro 17s with 285/70/17 ridge grapplers, pro grill and a blackout package. Would be nice to have it all covered under warranty though.

Here I thought the Raptor markup was bad, holy shit. Aren't the stock Gladiators supposed to be around 32? That's nearly a 100% markup in price.
