    Correct, DuraSHIT.

    Yeah i think i looked at those also but the autozone ones sounded better based on reviews and reports.

    Either way, They are a PITA to get out, lift or not, and the boots hardly lasted a half a year. Granted i have a little lift so it probably didn't help. Either way, i've rebooted my OEM ones with the OEM boot kit (did the extension mod also) and have learned a new thing. And since the old CVs have a lifetime warranty i have spares for wheeling
    If you still have the OEM ones i can help you reboot them. Its not hard, just messy. Ordered mine from a VA yota dealership with great service.
    This was the part number for my boots. 04438-04021

    The OEM one is still on, just the boot is ripped. Although I figured the CV is probably bad since it's gone at least 2 months without oil since it was ripped when I bought the taco

    @Norsemanvike I just saw an acquaintance of mine post some photos of IG of him running Palomar, looked like he just did it this weekend so it's probably open despite what the forest service website says, I'd still double check that though but you guys are probably good to go

    Nice, weld on is the way to go especially on 1st gens. Most of the bolt on solutions require a lot of drilling

    I guess the google doc is just up there for anyone that wants to use it that's organizing a run in this thread, or maybe it's just to be used for the main 1st weekend of every month run? I'm not sure tbh. Doesn't matter to me either way personally

    Sometimes in other local threads I've seen it done where a person gauges interest in a weekend trip and then starts a group PM with all the interested members, that's another way to do it so it stays someone cohesive for a particular meet up. Also a good way to do it if you have to keep the group small for one reason or another.

    @bprout @SoCal_Erik @Trah

    I called the Forest Service and they advised that Palomar has been closed since the last set of storms and they're waiting for the trails to dry out. They're unsure if it'll be open Saturday or not, and advised to call Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. I'll work on a backup plan just in case, still 2WD friendly.
