Want a killer deal? Walk into a Toyota dealership about an hour before they close in November or December. Look at the online inventory before you arrive and print out the trucks that interest you. You will be in the negotiation drivers seat, especially on any leftover 2019 Tacoma’s. Bonus: you will also sail through the actual paperwork and sales pitches for an extended warranty, paint and carpet protection, etc. All of the employees wants to go home!

I would shoot for a $3000 discount off a Pro and $6500 off a TRD OR or Sport.

If you are over 6'2" ish, the seating position is way, way too high.

Just to chime in from Naples, FL about 3 hours south of you... You probably won't find yourself in a position to need a locking diff when crawling over uneven drops, but I have found it to be helpful getting through the nasty mud ruts we have here. Not sure if mud is a big deal up in central FL but down here we need to watch out what we're diving into, the locking diff is one more step towards peace of mind imo.
