Oh there will be some mods all right
My light bar came with this switch: swtch 1.jpg swtch2.jpg
Instead of the rocker style seen above, I would like a push button switch where I push it in to turn it on, and push it again to turn it off. I searched for a while but must suck at searching or wasn't searching the right thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate your guys' responses. I have a pic of what I would like, minus all the wiring, just the switch style in the pic:79903_01_2.jpg

I had a switch just like that and I really didnt like the fact that it used an adhesive and wire just had to be ran in plain sight.

The reason I want one like that, is because on back roads late at night I use my light bar and the chance of running into people is pretty small, but it does happen. I would like a switch I can drive with in my hand and quickly turn off the light bar if I meet someone. :)

That one might work, although I'm wiring challenged and it looks like it has more pins :anonymous:

If you have a spare switch position where your factory fog lights and traction control switches are, order a factory switch like the fog light switch and place it in one of the spare positions. You can rest your left hand on your left knee while driving and it will be in perfect position to push the switch should someone approach.
Rather than pay for a factory switch, I used an illuminated toggle switch and placed it in a hollowed out dummy cover (routed out the insides of the dummy with a burr on a Dremel tool). When my Hella's are on, the switch is lit.DSC00613.jpg DSC00614.jpg

Do you think you would run the light bar much without high beams on?

I use the high beam circuit to trigger my driving light relays. That way you turn the switch to have them on but they only light if the high beams are on.

Makes it nice and easy to dip the lights and lose they driving lights if you meet someone.
