Soooo, I may have got in a angry gesturing match with a Metro bus driver today lol.

He laid on the horn for like 10 seconds after I pulled an entire car length in front of him with my turn signal on in traffic, so I may or may not have flipped him off.

Then at the next red light he pulls up next to me and starts staring at me and gesturing at his eyes and then at the road. So I said "no you pay attention too" and did the same thing back to him and then may have flipped him off again and drove away.

    Fuckin metro bus drivers.

Nice job. I hate the commuter busses more. They are very aggressive and total ass hats.

The fact that he had the audacity to honk and then try and say shit to me after says it all. I've driven 26 foot trucks in DC and it's not that hard as long as you are courteous and aware of your vehicles size.

The funny part is that they can literally get away with anything short of shooting somebody while driving, and not be fired.

They seem to just throw a blinker on and think that means “hey I’m coming over whether you like it or not, so you better move”

Oh and I hate DC bikers too while we’re at it

Hey now... I occasionally cycle in DC. But I follow the rules of the road and mostly stick to the multi use trails.

When I was a cop in town I would call and report them on their cell phones. I'd like to think it got them in trouble. I should check my phone to see if I still have the number so I can pass it on.

    That's awesome, haha.

Unfortunately, I don't think they do a whole lot, if anything at all. For example, a Dash bus driver had 4 preventable accidents in 18 months, was still allowed to drive the bus and then ran some lady over. If Dash lets that kinda stuff fly, I can't even imagine what a larger transit system would let happen.

    How about this: https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/d/philadelphia-bmw-r1100rt/6903976244.html

Im still working... started at 0630ish left after 10 hours from Dr. Evils HQ and am back on now...

    Details and service history?

He loves it; not his first and he doesn't care about scratching it up either to have a good time off road. He was supposed to join us for flagpole but didn't wake up in time so he went Edinburgh by himself. Will try to drag him out to the next group event and maybe infect him with Taco Sauce! (Doubt it will work)

Would have loved to have bought a Connie14 but that thing is to fast with me here in the USA. Germany; hell yeah first choice or a K12r but here in the states its slow bikes for me. The Strom is too fast especially when living out west.

I also think they're unionized. Which probably doesn't help get rid of the garbage.

My first motorcycle. It was imported and sold thru Harley Davidson. Made by Aermacchi in Italy. It was a 250 single.

All the normal BMW stuff - cruise control, heated seats, heated grips, electric adjustable windscreen, built in espresso machine, etc.
    55,000 ish miles
    OEM saddle bags
    Givi topcase 46L IIRC
    OEM tank bag
    Z-Technic exhaust
Rick Meyer saddle (Front and rear are heated. Rear is OEM)
    Garmin GPS
    Engine guards

More aftermarket stuff I can’t remember off the top of my head at the moment. When I get back this weekend I can look up the ad I typed up last year.

Oil changed every 3-5k miles. Valves checked and adjusted as necessary every other oil change. I do the oil changes and everything else was done by George at Beemers Uber Alles. Which he renamed Gridlock motors when he moved his shop to Opal.

Never been “down” but has some scratches in the right saddle bag and right side of the windscreen. I pulled off onto an overlook next to a guardrail. When I put my right foot down the soft edge of the cliff crumbled away so I tilted over and stopped with the bike resting in the guardrail. Has some other scuff marks in the bags from parking near other bikes at work and those riders don’t know how to throw a leg over their bike without kicking the bike next to them. I can get pics of it this weekend.

Put 10k miles on it in a month riding around the country when I first bought it and took 30 days off for a ride. After that commuted daily rain or shine for several years until I got a company car. Then it was just a weekend and occasional trip bike. It is great for commutes if you need to carry a laptop, gym bag etc and great for long distance travel with the saddle bags and top case.

Once I started skydiving two years ago, my bikes have just sat. I sold my bobber last year and need to sell this one since it is going unused.

I honestly have no idea who did the frame but I know for a fact they did a piss poor weld job on the back bone and covered the frame with damn near a gallon of bondo... Pretty much every summer for the past couple years I've been saying that I'm going to tear it back down and do shit right... It just hasn't happened yet.

Looking for recommendations/advice...We're heading to OBX this month so I'm considering driving on the beach. I have the required recovery items for beach travel but am curious as to whether I should add max trax to my gear or if airing down will suffice. Excuse my ignorance!!

Max trax are great in sand but most say the cheaper models are just as good
