I accidentally hit the post button lol. More pictures I meant to have in the previous post. A lot of the stuff is temporary so I can do a proper design later. I need at least something to build on and see how everything is organized. The dash support bar will be removed later and painted. I made the mistake of mounting the column first and then checking linkage second. I thought I had it spot on but it turned out to be an inch to the right so now I had to delete the rubber/plastic boot around the column. But at least it's Florida so I'm not too phased by the extra air flow. I might move it again later and just remake the thing in dom tubing. Like I said I want to at least see how everything fits together and then go from there. So all of this is a pretty rough looking install but I did make it with disassembly in mind so it won't take much effort to remove it and paint it, and then eventually make a new bar with dom tubing.

Thank you :). I'm actually starting to think I might be able to buy a spare header on eBay and see if I can retrofit a turbo flange on there and trim the pipes down some. Maybe cut all the pipes off the flange, rearrange them a tiny bit to raise the turbo location and just weld a Vband on there. Someone gave me a Hyundai Veloster Borg Warner turbo (stainless casting it seems, super clean) which although it was serving a tiny 1.6L engine or something, if I can get 7 lb or so of boost out of it I'd be happy. I don't race this thing. Reason for reusing the manifold and modifying it is I have so many things to do on this truck I just can't be bothered to weld a turbular manifold at this point. Main thing about modifying the old manifold is I need to make sure the thing is still high enough to not have issues with oil draining back into the pan.

I just realized I never posted the front with the bumper. The main reason I made the bumper was to be able to fit a VMAC Air rotary screw air compressor tank inside of the bumper. I made it simple and built on to the aluminum reinforcement. I think I actually reduced some of my bumper stick out this way unintentionally, so now I can really get into some tight spaces with the truck.

I'm still going to finish up the bumper and paint it black. Aluminum just looks too weird on the front. I might add maybe a few more plates to close off a few things here and there but so far I like how easy everything is to reach.

I must be the only Tacoma owner with a Euro plate lol!

I'm actually kind of excited to go drop off some more scrap metal (from all the fabrication and mechanical work) and get a weigh in on the truck later. I slimmed some of my tools off of it (things I only use once every few months like pneumatic rivet gun) and the amount of stuff I got rid out of the dash board area is quite high. I really need to finish installing the VMAC rotary screw air compressor because I'll loose over 400lb doing that.

I went through my folder of older pictures and added some more for people to get ideas from or to look at. They are:

Transmission filter housing I made myself. Took way too log to weld that pos from a Chrysler 3.8 caravan oil filter housing. I maybe should have just bought an aftermarket housing but all of them look terrible as far casting/design goes, unless you pay 150+ for the billet anodized ones.

(no longer installed) Military rackmount case I modified to house my TIG welder. The welder has since died (not welder's fault, incredible amounts of abuse over 6 years). So I haven't bothered to hack up my new machine (ended up buying an HTP Invertig 221 again because couldn't find a better option out there). But I will reinstall this setup eventually again and get the old one running as well. You can also see an Argon tank mount. That has since been srapped because I upgraded all my tanks to 300 size. I'm still working on a way to implement a mount for one in there. Because at least 150 size tanks are easy to lift, but 300 size tanks are quite heavy.

Close up of the pneumatic tool mount I made.

Close up of the electric fan retrofit.

(no longer installed) Jack mount I came up with. Going to re-engineer this one a little bit soon and reinstall it. Nothing wrong with the old one but I was trying to change something, which I forgot now (easy to do with so many projects filling up my head).

(no longer installed) Laptop mount for my Lenovo X230 and red dome light. I liked this setup, but I haven't had to use my laptop too much lately so it's down temporarily while I work on everything else. I will be reinstalling it soon.

Size of the insanely huge aluminum pulley that I will be mounting to support the VMAC rotary srew air compressor.

What did you do to avoid Check engine lights after deleting the secondary air pump/injection?

You mean the "custom truck" light? I don't think I own a single vehicle that doesn't have that nice amber glow lol.

Lol yeah i was more worried it would try to put you into limp mode and youd have no power. Sounds like that hasnt been an issue. I do have to ask, without cats, how loud is the truck? :D

Which part do you want to see? I'll add a few of the construction so you can see how I did it.

I should have covered it up with the diamondplate sheets much sooner. I actually kind of just made do with the bare frame for a while and it didn't seem to bother me.

Also forgot to mention I made some cool ammo box mounts to help carry small parts/tools and keep them out of the weather.

If I floor it you can definitely hear the engine working, but not enough to think "oh who's the ricer on the road trying to accelerate?". Other than that it's basically not noticeable. #1 thing to keep in mind, NEVER use aftermarket mufflers unless you have good reasons lol. OEM Mufflers and aftermarket mufflers are like two different beasts. There's a reason the Tacoma muffler is like 3-4x bigger in volume than any tin can pos you can buy at the store. I know it may not be the most "flow efficient" one out there but HP numbers from mufflers are so over exaggerated. I went through a whole phase in my life of straight pipe exhausts, and eventually I just got tired of it. The annoyance and mental fatigue from listening to straight pipes all day isn't worth even 2-3x the HP that it provides. So you can definitely hear my truck when it starts and it's got a nice quiet tone to it, obviously not as quiet as stock, but not enough to annoy me. It's just right :).
