Those running boards are like the size of tree trunks. Other than that and the awful looking wheels, not bad.

If you need a laugh glance over his list of posts. I'm too lazy to do a screen shot on my computer 99% is telling people nothing but they need to lift their truck... one of his first posts was pics of his (I assume his) truck asking what kind of lift it has

 

I was about to post the same thing but decided against it haha. He comments in random threads 99% of the time by saying "lift 'em high" or "lets see those lifted tacos", rarely about anything else

I think I figured out a way to put in a missing bushing for seat bracket. There is the part where the rubber goes between a white plastic washer and the metal washer. That rubber bushing was missing on the driver side.

So I took some F4 Silicone tape, doubled it, then stretched it out as I wrapped it around where the rubber bushing would normally go. If you stretch silicone tape as you wrap it, it becomes like a solid block. After a few windings of stretching and wrapping, I have a silicone rubber bushing. It feels solid.

 

turns out I did have a loose frame weld that needed reinforced and some light new cushioning in spots
somehow i must have fractured it after hitting my head hard and come back down into the seat and progressively got worse
also, another bolt down in the bottoms somewhere needed adjusted

 

None rust state owners need not read the following. I did an interesting experiment today. I purchased the Fluid Film spray kit, with the long hoses with the 360 spray nozzle a couple of years ago, along with a five gallon bucket of Fluid Film. I've coated about 10 vehicles over the last two autumns, in prep for winter. However, I have not been totally satisfied with the overall protection. It seemed that I was seeing a good bit of surface rust starting, even on several parts just installed last year. So, today, I pulled out the spray kit, but rather than load it up with Fluid Film, I used 85-140 gear lube. Interestingly, it sprayed just like the fluid film, which basically atomizes into a fine mist. In total, I applied about a pint of lube, basically covering the entire underneath, including a liberal application to the internal areas of the frame. My thinking is that the gear grease will not be as susceptible to washing off as the Fluid Film seems to be. I guess time will tell. By the way, it wasn't any more messy to apply than the Fluid Film.

 

Cut out some weight.

Yea, that fuel tank is pretty heavy, but I suspect not having it might affect performance.

 

Actually, I have sprayed under my truck for years with WD40, and when I first got the truck back in '05, I "painted" inside the bumpers, and the side panels of the bed, etc with axle grease. My frame looked immaculate, right up until the rust came through from the inside. Trying to not let that happen on the new frame.

Big downside to all of this is that it is filthy to work on, but it keeps rust at bay.

 

Thanks, I don't like getting blinded either, you get a fix it ticket here in Santa Rosa. I ended up taking the grille off again and the headlamps and fixing the retainer clips that hold the bulb in hoping that will help me with my being aimed too high issue. The cooling fans on the back of the bulbs were interfering with the fit of the bulbs in the housings retainer clips but it now feels like they are seated better now. I will take it out in about a half an hour and see.

 

Finally got my innovate psb-1 boost Gauge + AFR Gauge combo put in.

It’s a pretty sweet setup, both in the same Gauge and you can toggle either one for the lead position being able to see both Gauges or you can switch to just boost or just AFR.
