Weathertech front floor liners, window vent visors. Custom bedside decals. OEM bed mat, tonneau covrew. Added D rings to bed.
So when I got my truck, the top clips for the front OEM mudflaps don't seem to be working very well anymore. they are the ones on the right in my pic.
I bought a bunch of the ones on the left.
It seems to hold the mudflap on better, but I'm worried that they hold too well and if I hit the mudflap on something, it might tear or rip the part of the plastic that it clips into.
I don't offroad, so I can't imagine that would happen, but should I try to find clips like the right ones?
The left ones top part is smaller too. Just want to make sure the mudflaps aren't going to come off.

You should be OK, if they do tear out, you can use a small screw backed up on the other side with a washer and nut.

The original factory clips that I used when I replaced my mud flaps look similar to what you have on the left. You’re right; they hold really well but that’s what Toyota used so I think I’m good.
