Looking for roof racks for my 1st Gen. I have an 03 extended cab. Thanks for any help I can get. Currently looking at the one from Prinsu but I’m open to other options before I pull the trigger on that one

I have Smittybilt conpact Defender rack...it's more utilitarian looking than the Prinsu, not as sleek and refined. The Prinsus are nice for sure but a good bit more expensive

I can understand that, 1st gens aren't as sleek looking as 2nd and 3rd gens so it could look out of place

For the money, Yakima is hard to beat. Solid and can be had for cheap if you're patient and look. I scored all my parts for my latest one from Craigslist. I'm in for $65 total. Rerack as mentioned above is another good resource.
Glad to help if you have any questions about what's what.

If I am looking on fb marketplace and craigslist for used Yakima, how do I know which ones fit? Are they universal for the most part?

If you are trying for the older Q tower system (Yakima) you'll need Q117 clips. They're not produced any longer but can be found on Ebay Craigs, etc.
