    alright tacos

Looking for advice on what I should do for my suspension.

    Here’s what I want:
-clearance to run at minimum 275/70/17. Assuming a leveling kit would work just fine
-if I go the route of a lift kit, then I’ll run bigger

What I use the truck for:
    -daily driver
-camping, but not a lot of equipment that adds ton of weight. Tent is a bed tent not a roof top. Basic essentials is all I’ll use.
-Light to moderate off roading. Trails. Low water. Smaller rocks. Aka no climbing. And I do not tow anything.

This set up will be 85% for looks. 15 function. At least for a year or so.

What are my options that’s the best bang for my buck/uses?

Can I do a simple leveling kit and still keep stock suspension?

Do I need to run an entire lift kit or can I just upgrade the shocks for height? What set up(s) do you recommend.

Budget would like to be as low as I can be but keeping quality in mind. So I don’t have a “limit” but don’t want to drop 3k either since wheels and tires will be another chunk. But I also will not buy crap quality and if I must wait for awhile then I will. I also have to have this installed by a shop as I do not have a lot of experience with suspensions so I have that cost to account for too.

Thank you for the help and assistance!

Sounds like all you need is some Bilstein 5100 shocks and have a shop install for you.

Look up headstrong Offroad. Very affordable and have a lot of info about these on their site.

And you should just run 265/70R17 on your truck. Same size but no fitting issues and no cutting required.

You can just run front 5100s up front to level and clear the larger tires

Better performance and less stress on the struts than doing a leveling kit

No, you can lift the front up to 2” and it shouldn’t be higher than the rear.

Nice. I’ll do that then. Keep it simple until I go bigger next fall
