Benford Brewing Presents 2nd Annual "Smoked Meat"

Benford Brewing will host Tacoma enthusiasts at their brewery in Lancaster, SC for the second time. Benford Brewing is a small craft brewery located on a farm in the South Carolina country. They've agreed to host the "Tacoma World 2nd Annual Smoked Meat".

Who: TacomaWorld members and who ever else wants to go

Benford Brewing, as stated is out in the country. Tacoma World folks are encouraged to camp out, bring your RTTs, your tents, folding tables, and folding chairs!

This meet is a casual and informal setting and the Brewery is easy going and staffed with some great folks. We'll likely have a bonfire to all hang out and chat, eat, and drink.

Things will be a bit different this year in regard to barbecue. Since we have the first "Smoked Meat" under our belt, we've learned a few things. Previously this was a BBQ competition in which necessitated the transportation of a lot of smokers and smoker accessories. This year we'll be barbecuing large batches of chicken on a large pit over hardwood in order to reduce the amount of equipment everyone needs to bring. This will also allow us to feed everyone and everyone can better relax with some craft beers.

I'll also bring a screen tent for serving food out of.





We will also be taking donations to pay for 3 port-a-johns for the weekend. Let me know if you're willing to throw down for this. If not I'll wait at the door....$2 to stand, $3 to sit.


Please reply with your interest and if you intend on joining us! If you're looking for a fancy pants, uppity, hipster brewery, this isn't your jam!

If you want to bring your smoker or smoke some meat in advance, please do!

Benford also has a new lager out called Senior Chief, so if you don't love typical craft beers, this beer is AWESOME and crushable!



We'll be camping out again, so bring your RTTs, tents, screen tents, etc. You're welcome to show up Friday night and stay through Sunday. If you're coming early, we'll organize a Saturday breakfast, lunch, etc with who will be attending.

We'll need to figure out who's bringing what for sides for the dinner. Likely a google sheet like last year.

There will be a horseshoe tournament! Who will bring home the trophy this year?

If you have boards and bags for corn hole, bring them! Can @Shibbyjeep be taken down?

Also, bring fire wood if you have it!

This year we'll be hosting this during football season, so we'll have some football on in the brewery and outside on the projector.

Last year everyone was very respectable and we as a group left a good impression with Benford Brewing, hence the 2nd annual Smoked Meat. Please be a responsible guest and respect the Brewery and be mindful before driving if you plan on leaving.
