I just got word from a friend of mine who works at ARB and told me they are now hiring for a tech.

Seems like fun, but looks entry level.

I have yet to find a job that I enjoy AND pays well. Or, the things that I like to do suck as a job.

 

How old do you have to be? I'm looking for a job right now.

Never EVER do your hobby as a job. It will ruin your enjoyment of the hobby. I know this 1st hand on 2 different occasions. ( slow learner)

When i was in HS thought I wanted to be a cook and go to culinary school. Worked in a commercial kitchen for a little while. Fuck THAT SHIT.

 

Just realized that French fries and beer are both technically vegan!
And now, so am I!

 

Luckily I figured it out on my own before I learned the hard way to keep careers and hobbies separate. The biggest reminder of that was when I took on my first motorcycle build for a paying customer. It really sucked the fun out of building that bike.

Another thing I've realized is that if I did any of my hobbies for a job, I wouldn't make enough money to actually have those hobbies any more.

 

Does that mean the metal shop is open Friday after work or Saturday morning???

Could I bribe you with beer and helping hands to come by and finish up my little bed cage? My roommate trashes the garage and makes it so doing it at home is basically impossible

 

If it wont hold the pressure, I pay $150 for the shop to add 2 pounds of r134 to the atmosphere. Thanks for the offer, but Jimbo Slice is going to patch it up for me.
