Good afternoon all, I’m looking at putting a CB in my truck I have a six speed manual TRD double cab. Looking for a clean install of a CB radio. One that’s not bashing my knees or my passengers knees let me see those installs please

Skip CB. Go get your HAM license. vastly better range and quality. Plus more channels so you don’t have to worry about overlap with other people.

I've since got a new mic cable (longer and 90 degree connector) and have my mic wire ran under the center console and out near my shifter then it comes up and mounts to my vent mount. Also, CBs work great for trail runs. Easy for anybody to pickup and install without the need for a license. If you're really serious about comms, you could look into a HAM radio as Shellshock mentioned. But for me, none of my other buddies have a HAM radio or license...we all just use CBs.

Uniden offroad radio, it hides under the dash, rj45 switch plate to plug in the hand set, CB switch to turn it on and off, and a 3 foot firestik antenna on a rear mount.

I have my ham license. Just the technician license. But nobody on the trails has a ham. And hams can’t cross over to the CB channels

I've got my ham and gmrs to cover all the bases. I encourage everyone who has any interest in radios to get one or both.

Awesome setup. Where did you find the RJ45 switch that fits into the those lower sockets? I've been searching the internet for months trying to find one that fits the 3rd gen Tacoma panel.

While I agree in general with your points, nothing is better than CB in a traffic jam because that is the most widely adopted radio band in use by truckers / professional drivers on the road today. Getting on the 6M or 10M band isn't going to be fruitful when duder is stuck on I 285 in Atlanta wondering which lane is blocked 2 miles ahead.
