so I was torn between going with the OR or SPORT... I know I needed 4x4 (a few times a year we'll get 6+ inches of snow, and I do occasionally need to get through a soft field). They were the same $, and in the research I was doing you were getting a lot more functionality with the OR version IF, and this is a big IF, you used 4x4 LOW often. I've had my fair share of 4x4 vehicles and honestly couldn't think back to a time when I "needed" 4Low. 4x4 High has always gotten me where I needed to go.

Once that hit me, I was fine spending the money for a non-functional "cool" hood scoop and some color matched bumpers...

4LO also is critical to keeping trans temps down. It may feel ok to offroad in 4HI but if you are going slow speeds you can overwork the torque converter.

Baffles me why I can't be locked in 4H. Down here in Houston, slick mud and beaches require 4H and momentum. To have to putt-putt around in 4L to have the locker working seems silly.

Someone mentioned MTS would burn up the brakes with 4H's high wheel speeds, and that makes sense, especially if you were in the dunes with the go pedal mashed.

Is there a "locker override" mod???
