    A friend at work and I were discussing it yesterday. He was an airborn infantryman and got into the history of it when stationed at Bragg and I started getting into it while stationed in Germany. I also had a couple uncles who were WWII vets though I only talked with one about it and it was well later in my career and didn't get far into it. Though I do have his ribbons, patches, flag and some pictures.

    My dad was a radio operator on a C47 that dropped paratroopers early in the day on June 6th. He wouldn't talk much about it.

    My mom's brother landed on June 7th....a tanker.
