I busted an ear drum two years ago, not from infection though.
I was almost completely deaf in that ear for 3 months. Then I got all my hearing back over the course of a week or two.

Just seeking if people had the same problem in the past and how long took and what they did to help heal and fix it.

I was entirely deaf in that ear for three months but once the hearing started to return it took about 2-3 weeks for it to go from almost like a muffled sound to full hearing again.

Tip: if you swab your ears stay away from peroxide and alcohol and do not stick the swab any deeper than just the cotton part going into the ear. You can damage the drum by shoving swabs deep into the ear.

I wouldn’t if you have an infection. Best case is to keep it dry.

OP give it time. With ear infections comes inflammation of the Eustachian tube which connects the inner ear to the throat. When inflamed, this tube is unable to equilibrate the pressure within the inner ear to the environmental pressure. This can lead to you feeling like your ear is plugged, just like it feels when you're in an airplane or driving over a mountain pass. The inflammation will slowly improve, sounds like it already is, just be patient.
