What size..?

 

32 cold and 35/36 hot

 

I stayed stock sized

 

I believe the wildpeak max cold is 50 psi. You could test out 40 psi. Where as stock tire being 42 psi.

 

Probably makes a difference I would think. Might be slightly lighter but same height and width as stock but more aggressive tread.
My 265/75/16’s weigh I believe 44 lbs more and are an inch taller with more aggressive tread. I expected some loss.

 

These definitely feel heavier than the stock Goodyear's, initially it seemed like it lost a fraction of MPG but now it's back to normal

 

I noticed a big difference in feel for sure. Can’t remember the stock tire weight but I think it was around 39 lbs so the added 5 lbs plus tread design made a big difference. Plus side is they feel really good and stable with lots more traction but the down side is my truck feels like its working harder to push them. Overall I like them but need to squeeze a little more then 14 mpg out of my rig.

 

I also should have stated that I am on Volk Racing Te37 which are lighter than the stockies. I used to average 22-23 stock...

 

I have averaged 23.6 or so for the last 9 months. Well over 22 since new in late 2016 (has >36k miles now).

 

2 or 4 wheel drive..? What trim..? Tank average..? I’ve tried everything and unless it’s only freeway miles (20 mpg)
My tank average is 16 to 18 but last two tanks have been 14.
I don’t know how you guys are getting that.

 

I've actually been getting BETTER mileage since I switched to bigger heavier tires lol. I think tread pattern and rubber compound have a big impact.

I went from falken wildpeaks in p245/75/16 XL load on the stock steel wheels to Cooper at3's in LT265/75/16 C load on some TRD off-road wheels.

The weight increase in tire was somewhat offset by the decrease in wheel weight. I compared the two mounted options with a 2x6 balanced on a 4x4, I'd say there was only a couple pounds difference between the two. The falken XL load has similar specs to an LT tire and is pretty heavy in that size.

My calculated mileage per tank based on the odometer went up ~1.5mpg, accounting for the larger circumference the actual mileage increase is slightly better than that.

I run 265/76/16 sl on my pro. Just filled up yesterday, gas light came on and display said 20 miles to empty but it was well above the E mark. I filled up with 397 miles on that tank and it took 18.8 gals. Display said 21mpg. Mostly in town and back roads, 60 mph max prolly. My 2nd gen would get 5-6 mpg less then the new truck. I’m very pleased.

 

2wd Limited. Bone stock. I drive like an old man. Current tank average is 23.7 and it is below 1/4 tank. It has only been more than 60 miles from home once since I picked it up new. I drove to Illinois for a funeral in 2017. My commute to work is 3.5 miles, so its not like I'm just highway driving.
