Why didn't you score the rest of the game though? Pretty easy cop out to blame a non-call when the rest of the game you still did not score. Plus Bs were on the PP I think 3 times and did nothing, correct? Almost 40 shots and 1 goal. Get over it. Those types of plays are 50/50 and judgement calls in hockey since forever. If you are going to blame the whole game on that, then it is just comical.

It’s a contact sport. I didn’t see any blatant headshots but the Blues definitely hit on every opportunity to land a check. Again I can’t believe a Bruins fan is whining about that. In every series the Bruins have targeted players to try and get in their head. Sometimes with dirty hits that weren’t called. Again, karma is a bitch.

 

I’m not in favour of a Kadri trade unless the Leafs can get a center or left handed serviceable D back. Otherwise they’re better off keeping him. While he has been an idiot suspension wise he does play above his pay grade which is something the Leafs need.

 

I think the biggest issue with the non-call last night is how often big, game deciding calls have been blown in this year's playoffs. Of course people are going to be pissed about a call going against their team and defend one going in favor because of what's at stake right now. And I know it's very common for refs to let calls go because it's the playoffs but the fact of the matter is when it comes time to make a fare call, or call at all, the refs have done a god awful job. There has been a missed or blown call in every series this year, at points that will ultimately decide the series. It's unacceptable and I really hope that the league will sit down at the end of this and address it properly. Bad and missed calls are going to happen but they cannot be the norm.

 

That's fair but last night's call was a very ordinary 50/50 play. If that happens on a Tues night in January (which it does), you might get the call, you might not. And no one argues it, because that is a quick judgement call. I'd even say if Blues don't score right after, the play still goes mostly forgotten. So yes, it is amplified a bit because it is the Final and also because a goal happened on the possession change. I get that. But the play itself is what it is. Not the worst missed call in the world, or even close to it. Just a missed call. So do not exaggerate just because a goal happened afterwards. That goal is still on Boston, as is the inability to score their own. And for Cassidy to say that the officiating changed after Gm3 when Berube supposedly went to the officials to complain, is just stupid. They had 1 PP last night and B's had 3. That 1 non-call doesn't equate to a conspiracy. And for the record, I don't like either team just sick of the complaining.

I saw that play about 50 times but without audio, I think it was a trip, but I also think he tried to sell it too much. Had he not flailed his other leg so much I would have felt worse about it. He really went for the sell imo

The Bruins just finally had one go against them, and it wasn't even that egregious. They used missed calls to get Kadri to blow up in the TO series and Williams got put in the box for roughing right after Marchand hacked him in the face intentionally. Bad calls? Sure. Bruins fans shouldn’t whine though when finally they get the short end of the stick and it only costs them one game lol.

The NHL should just abandon “playoff hockey,” and call the same rule book in the playoffs as in the regular season like every other pro league. Problem solved.
