    Nothing worthy
I feel it's my duty to chime in. Wether or not it's year specific or not we have had nothing but problems.. Im sure they could be an issue no matter what.

    ~ warped brakes
    ~ starter replaced
    ~ alternator replaced
~ leafs replaced twice (still squeak, gave up)
~ both driver and passenger window HOWL so loud at HWY speed (still no fix)
~ Rear main leak (said this is virtually unheard of on a 30k km taco)
~ timing belt cover leak (said this is virtually unheard of on a 30k km taco)
~ bed rail corroded to hell
~ stitching coming apart on drivers seat
~ driver seat is loose at the pivot point
    ~ leaky sunroof
    ~ paint is SHIT!!
    ~ frame rust
~ transmission hesitation (Fixed thx to TSB 3 years later)
    ~ transmission clunk from 2nd to 1st
~ cant drive 110km + without being in 4th gear the whole time.
    ~ squeaky steering wheel

I'm sure I'm missing a few things.... Seriously.

All in all we love the truck tho, looks good, offroads great and to be honest besides a Tundra theres no other truck i would want.

Almost 60K on my '16. Purchased in July of '17. I had a few TSB's done early on but nothing major. Have take it on trips from Ohio to Gatlinburg and twice to Florida. Truck runs great and I anticipate many more miles on it.

I would not get a 16 honestly. Mine has been very un-Toyota like but I knew getting a first year new model was a gamble. Thank goodness I bought the Toyota extended warranty! I currently have 50K on the truck.

-Blind Spot assist sensor failure, would have been $2,500 without the warranty
-timing chain cover reseal due to oil leak
-front differential & left side cv axle replaced due to grinding noise
    -climate control unit replaced
-hood glued back together as the bracing separated
-rust repair in driver side door jam
    -2 software updates
-TSB repair for rear differential howl
-p/s pump replacement due to noise
    -TSB for HPFP chirping

My 2016's been great, 53k+ miles zero issues.

What configuration were you thinking of, OP?

I'm thinking Double Cab Short Bed, 4x4 automatic with the V6. I like the clean look of the SR5 trim but the TRD models are pretty appealing too.

Just make sure your payments aren't as high as a new truck, due to the interest rates... They could be closer than you think after all is said and done!

28k miles on my 2016, I bought it with 20k on it.. no major issues, and its a blast to drive.. not a sports car, but it's got all I need.

My 2016 has had zero problems in the 39 months I owned it. Find one you like. Give it a though test drive and if the price is right. Go for it.
