Did you have to do any fabrication to get the winch to fit or did it bolt right in?

Thanks. I was wanting to keep my truck as stock as possible once I get it, but that bumper is awesome! Great looking truck!

Is that a best top, or softopper? Any chance you coult take measurement from the top of your platform to the bottom of the topper ( as in how much headroom when sleeping)? I am looking at buying a softopper and building a very similar platform, but am a little worried about having to snake my way in to sleep.

Awesome build by the way. Hoping to make mine very similar to yours.

It is a soft topper. I would have never bought it but my neighbor was getting rid of his Tacoma and gave I to me for really cheap. I couldn’t be happier with it. It keeps the dust of of everything and I have slept in it in the pouring rain and stayed dry. It’s not completely water proof and maybe I got lucky, but like I said I am super happy with it.

The distance from the platform to the topper is 27 inches. The mattress is an REI 3.5. I’m only 5’8 and by myself I don’t have any issues getting in and out so far. It could see it being kinda cramped with another person. I cant wait to try it out. Below is a pick of how I would travel or leave just leave it if I’m gonna be by myself. Ive seen guys make a strap to pull up the tail gate from inside. Ill probably do the same.

Thank you. If you have any questions about it let me know. I’ve been super happy how my trucks turning out.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I think I am going to pick up a Softopper and build the platform next week for a Utah trip at the end of the month. Looks like a great set up, that should fit my needs well. Thanks again for the details.

where did you get the battery monitor?

Also are you able to do a parts list for your Ham radio install?

I made the mount for the antenna and had to super glue the thin metal piece to the back for the ham radio face. You will also need some wire to run the power for the radio.

Love this mounting solution. Simple and out of the way. Link to product? Is this the Relentless Fabs one in your first post?

I just bought the same winch for my SSO Bumper. Was relocating the solenoid necessary to get it to fit in the truck?
