Rigid LED fog light - Color option?

Are there any options for colored rigid LEF fog lights? This is for my new 2018 Tacoma TRD pro.
I searched with little success and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a product to swap out.

I’m not looking to retro fit anything different, rather looking for the same Rigid led light...just with a color.

In a fog pattern your options are Amber KC G4 LED fogs or Amber Morimoto LED fogs. KCs are higher performing. Both require swapping your surround to the halogen round light surround. Good news is selling your Pro fogs should cover 100% of the cost.

There is no direct ‘replacement’ LED fog light for the Pro that is a different color.

You can get a vinyl overlay to change the colour.

 

Any recommendations as to the best vinyl overlays?

I assume you mean to get a sheet or something and cut to size. Or are there precut ones specifically for those rigids?

Also, any recommendations as to the best way to adhere it?

Look at laminex, which is yellow film specifically designed for that purpose. You’ll need to cut to fit as I’m not aware of any that are precut for the Pro fog.

These cut the output down to nearly non-usable. Completely cosmetic.

 

@Norilsk where did you get your Rigid Pro Lamin-x?

did you adjust your fog lights level?
They work perfectly fine in fog and rain conditions for me.

 

Covers are filters, they filter out portions of the spectrum not matching the color of the filter. Since the majority of output of an LED is not amber, you filter out the majority of the light source which results in a significant reduction in output.

 

I am not claiming they are as bright as originals without the covers, but the light definitely does it's work in the fog for me, adjusting the light position can solve problems for those who haven't done that.

 

Not saying they don’t work for you, I was just explaining how they work and why some may not want to use them.

 

Exactly why I wouldnt want them on my fog lights. OP is looking for a way to have his pro fog lights in yellow.

 

I did not adjust the level of the lights no, I will try that tomorrow. But as said above, can't expect the output to match w/ no filter as it does not allow all the light to pass.

Anybody know what bulb the Rigid fog lights take? Wouldn’t it be possible to just put an amber bulb in the existing housing?

 

They do not use a replaceable bulb. They use LED chips on a circuit board.

I got these in yellow a week ago. Plenty of light transmission, but there is a slight green tint to the output because of the blue light the Rigid's emit.
