    Hey y'all,

Need to do a replacement of my Lower Ball Joints to pass inspection and my Rear Leaf Springs since they're pretty flat. The shop that failed me on my inspection quoted me $400 parts and labor for OEM lower ball joints and $475 for MOOG lower ball joints. They were also going to charge $250 for the labor of taking off the leaf springs, and an additional amount to have them sent off to be re-bent. I thought those prices were pretty high, so I figured I'd do it myself.

I'm wondering what companies are generally considered trustworthy in terms of quality. This shop recommended MOOG, but I've seen some older posts here that say that MOOG's quality has suffered. Any thoughts?

For the leaf springs, I'm looking for something with at least 3" of lift to them. I'm having a hard time figuring out rough lifts on different aftermarket sets. What do people with a 3"+ lift recommend?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: I often have a fair bit of weight in my truck, so "heavy duty" leaf springs are nice. I'm prepared to sacrifice comfort for that.

If you get leaf springs, go with OME Dakar.

I forgot to mention, I often have a fair bit of weight in my truck. Any particular "heavy duty" recommendations?
