    Thanks alot!!
Is that dash kit sliver like the one in our truck? or is dark grey like the pic? Also do you know if it has the texture like ours do, so it looks OEM? Thanks!

I bought the one from the link I listed, and its a textured silver -
(edit- The texture is even, the camera makes it look like there are lines in it)

I forgot to add the dash kit to my order. Guess it isn't a big deal to just order it separately, and I'm still on a quest to find an installer with a good reputation.

If I purchase from Amazon, do I still get the pioneer warranty, etc. that I would get if purchased from my local stereo shop?

    thanks

I got the AVIC-X920BT in my truck and it is worth the money. I paid 750 including shipping on ebay. I've been doing a lot of looking around and this navagation has ALL the bells and whisles & is worth every penny! It took me roughly 40 mins to install in my driveway. I got the tacoma cover for $20(on ebay). But I had to special order the ipod/iphone adaptor from pioneer for $40 it sits in my glove box.I have a droid with bluetooth capabilities...its cool they link right up. I swear I think it made my stock speakers sound much better.I've rigged the DVD so I can watch movies while driving(not recommened). The people at the sterio store wonted $200 to install...yea right!! trust me its not rocket science.

Supposed to yes. When I check a few months ago, Amazon was not on Pioneers authorized internet sellers list, but that changed recently. Check Pioneer's web site for it's authorized Internet sellers list and make sure your purchase is with Amazon itself, not one of it's re-sellers.

Know if Amazon has the silver Metra?

NM, reviewers all say that "gray" in this case actually means "silver" so the photo must just be a stock photo.

Any reason not to go with the Metra wiring harness instead of the Scoshe?

I have the bt version... but haven't installed it yet. I read quite a few reviews where people said the blutooth worked well...

Wow, 40 minutes? You must be fast!

I'm not looking foward to tearing into all this stuff and will at least get someone to price the install for me. Did you do the steer wheel controls too or just the HU itself? Used the Metra dash kit or the Scoshe?

Thanks to the OP! Great find dude.

I've been putting money aside for an all around sound system and I think this would be a good place to start. I'm wondering if someone could give some good advice?
Pls bare with me I'm not that good or good at all with sound systems. I wanted to get a nice Double Din, four 6 1/2" (components up front, and coax in the back), a four channel for the speakers, JL 13TW5 and an amp for that. Out of the list for the 30% discount which double din, and amps would you recommend? (thats all I can get for now) Thanks in advance

    Glad I could help.

You'd probably have better luck starting a new thread, as most of us are just starting our systems. Im just going to start with some 6 1/2 components in the front, with 6 1/2 2-ways in the back. I'll probably end up adding an amp w/sub in the future, but Im going to see how the speakers sound first.

I just recently installed the 3200BT. The bluetooth works great. The main reason I upgraded the headunit was for the bluetooth.

to me that's the way to do. my phone has nav, so i don't need the 920, and almost every review i've read about the 920 rated the nav portion horrible.
