Picked up my sliders at SOS concepts yesterday morning, finished installing earlier today. Lead time was surprisingly short, only a few weeks.

Eddy has a great shop and does awesome work. Looking forward to getting a bumper & skids later this year.

One thing I did was to use a 2 inch paint roller and coat the frame & brackets with fluid film, hoping this will minimize any rusted from trapped water.

Most of the install is not too bad. I didn't use a jack, but 2-3 jack stands to hold the slider and just push it into position. The passenger side did need the jack to lift the truck and slider of the jack stand. IMG_20190609_161736.jpg IMG_20190609_161731.jpg

Driver side has brake lines which make it more difficult. Worst part of the whole install is the forward two bolts on either side. These have you reaching into the truck frame. I would imagine this is what it's like to birth a calf in the dark. I would guess other bolt on sliders to be the same, can someone comment on this?

Looks good. Yeah you gotta stuff your arm in there, but if you get the right angle it’s not too bad.

SOS currently has a front bumper GB if you’re interested

It's easy to put your arm up in the frame just gotta position your body correctly and be semi ambidextrous. I have installed sliders from other manufacturers with a stud on a stick for that bolt and still found it easier just to put my arm up in the frame to get it lined up.

Fluid film tends to act like a grease and trap grit and grime in places like where you put it. Best practice would be to take the sliders off every so often and clean then repaint any scuffing that happened between the frame and slider plate.
