Damn it! Im on the 3rd glass for this tacoma and its already got 2 big ole cracks, one on either side. Is there a way to remedy this? Any little rock that hits it cracks it. Like I said, this is the 3rd one its gone through. Is there another brand that sells some really strong one? Or maybe some sort of protectant? Please help guys!

Safelite can repair small cracks and chips and from my own experience did a terrific job. OEM window replacement without the Toyota logo is about $400, with the Toyota logo is about $725. There is other glass out there but won't be exactly the same as OEM.

I have a large un-repairable bulls eye chip right now, those were my options.

There is definately something off with the glass or design for sure. All of my 3rd gens have chipped, chunked (yep whole chunk came out with the mirror on my 17), etc. like crazy, all while stay far behind people, avoiding trucks, highways, etc. My 19 has less than 1900 miles and already looks like a kid with acne.

The rock that chipped my windshield came from an SUV 3 cars ahead of me all going 40mph. The rock curved around the other cars like the movie wanted, I have it on my dash cam. It was incredible and crappy.

Had mine replaced recently by a local company. $250 including tax. Safelite wanted over $500.

Mine is PGW glass, seems to be holding up better than the OEM glass I’ve replaced twice now.

The day after I had my windows and windshield tinted it got chipped. Safelite repaired it but you can see it and there’s a lot of small divots all over. It’s odd because plikington is a good glass company.
