That was a good trail. I didn’t think it too technical. Think I did it in 6 hours or so, while taking several pictures along the way. That’s actually the trail that I did the day the folks from Southern Xpeditions stopped by GT’s.

I was thinking that the loop down in Hawn was closer to 12 miles in total, but I don’t really remember.

From what I've seen it looks like Hawn has "two" 12 mile trails

    Hi all

Been a bit absent as of recent. I really need to get on some of those trails.

And also - I've got a roll up tonneau cover for a 2016+ Taco available if anyone is interested. It works well, has some tension adjusters if you need them. A little dusty but good condition. Super easy to install, pretty convenient. In the photo it looks a little loose, but it actually fits snug (I started taking it off then realized I ought to take a photo or two). Would prefer local pick up/meet up. Pass the message along if you know someone interested! I'm near U City

    Thanks guys!

    Edit: it's for a 5ft/short bed

Kind of. It’s a double loop for the total twelve miles. If I remember correctly, the whistling pines trail is the longer loop, and the one you start on. There’s a connector that dips into the second shorter loop which is to the “south” of the larger loop...that may be what they’re calling the white oaks trail. I did a couple of the non loop trails when I was last there...or rather one trail and portions of the other and whispering pines while bouldering down the creek.

Internet is randomly working again. The fine folks at AT&T must have fixed again, ahead of schedule, without a heads up...maybe I’ll get lucky and it will stay working more than 48 hours this time :bananadead:

Mod days the 22nd right? My brother just bought my cousins ‘99 and I told him to tag along. Also, I don’t think I’ll be driving a Yota there this time. Going to pick up a gem in Ohio this weekend

So I got this groaning sound coming from the front end and it's driving me nuts. It's only doing it while I'm driving. Did I not grease the the bushings enough or is there something I possibly missed? :annoyed:

    Yes

Sounds like uni-balls. They squeak when turning or cycling up and down. TC recommends a lube but I can’t recall what it is as there are two types with the same name and one is no good.

I still have some of that lube left over that came with them. Maybe that would help??

No. Dont use that on the uniball. Go get some PTFE lube.

Mine groaned and moaned for the first 1k miles or so. Then after greasing multiple times they have broken in.

Well I got Lucas grease that I used on the bushings. So something like gun oil on the uniballs?

TC recommends a PTFE dry lube. Its in an aerosol can and you spray it on and the liquid will evaporate. I usually respray mine after i wash my truck, then drive a few miles to get it lubed up.

You can get it at Advanced or Orielly's.
