I've been going back and forth on upsizing from stock to 265s when I eventually pick up some ATs on my 3rd Gen. My biggest hesitation is taking the fuel economy hit. But looking at the tire weight on discounttire, the 265s are listed as 54 (I'm guessing that's lbs?), compared to 245s at 49. These compared to stock Firestone Destinations at 32. Based on these numbers, it seems like I'd take a hit going to ATs either way, and it wouldn't make a huge difference whether they were 245s or 265s. Am I correct about this assessment or is there something I'm missing here? If that's true, it'd be a no-brainer to switch to 265s for that 1" lift.

    Hi, David-

The weight displayed through the website is in pounds (lbs) - we apologize for the confusion with that!

As for power/MPG loss, you can expect this whenever plus sizing. How much difference you notice is tough to gauge but if you stick with an SL rated tire I doubt think you'll notice it much but you'll certainly enjoy the new look!
