    Went on a backpacking/camping trip this past weekend with some friends, one of which owns a 2nd gen, who was incredibly jealous of the new key fob. I know he wants a 2nd gen version haha

    Flipout, 100%. Size doesn’t bother me as much as the key sticking out. Its just awkward in a pocket and scratches chairs if its hanging from a beltloop. The flipout key was always my favorite think about my VW.

    I think First Lite might be hard to do because of licensing and things like that. I bet that you could buy a minimalist fob and send it to Utah Hydrographics, the company that First Lite uses for hydrodipping rifle stocks and bows, and they could probably do that for you. It might just double the cost of your fob, but it might be hard (or impossible) to get a hold of the First Lite fusion pattern.

    Fashionably late to the fob party, but I always like to see reviews before I pull the trigger.
    Matches my truck perfect. Buttons are snug. Opened my last bottle of Hefeweizen but drank if before I took the pic.... who can blame me though.
    NOTE: It does not open a bottle of whiskey but it’s cool enough to slide on that note.
