so about 4-5 months ago I noticed a mark on my rear passenger door. I thought it was condensation from the cold. The next day the mark was still there. It turns out it was an actual blemish on my paint. My truck is a 2017 model. So about a month ago I took it in because the blemish got a lot bigger. One dealership referred me to the dealership I purchased the truck from because they told me it could be a finish the dealership added to it before they sold it to me, This was even before looking at it. So I took It to the place I purchased it and the manager there got upset because the dealership I usually Take it to for maintenance sent me to them. Well they looked at my truck and the body shop manager said it’s something to do with the paint. It’s been happening to the blue pro taco and the red ones. I was The first white one they seen it happen to. The manager said since Im past the 36k warranty they needed to speak to the regional manager. It’s been almost a month and a half and haven’t heard back. Wanted to see if anyone has had the same problem w the paint job? I know I’m past the 36k mark but it’s not like it’s a 10 year old paint job, it’s barely 2 years. I’m gonna go talk to them tomorrow since I have A day off. Oh, now the blemishes are appearing on other spots in my other doors... See how it goes...

The dealer is not a party to that contract. You would make the appointment for the regional rep to look at the truck thru the dealership doesn’t matter which dealership you choose...the regional rep is usually there once a week or one a month depending on the dealership. He may cover it under the rust perforation warranty which is 5years 60k miles only problem is there’s alot of weasel clauses in that warranty agreement. Check the rear quarter panels spot welds for surface rust the area between the cab and the bed as well if you have issues there they will fix it. See photo for clarity
