Soooo anyone been up and through the southern portion of Mendocino NF lately? Are the reports that I’m seeing accurate in the fact that mostly everything trail-wise under lake pillsbury is still off limits from the fire?

Doing a Thursday (6/13) drive up 108 to Pinecrest/Dodge Ridge area... headed East on backroads to find a good back road route to Bourland Meadows.

Not figuring many will be up for a mid week trip, but tossin it out there anyway.

 

Additionally...

There is a little trail clearance that appeared to be done (couple fallen trees) between one of our main camp sites and the end of that road to the trailhead (around 3/4 mile). My plan was to spend a little time in the morning clearing a few things and cleaning up the road... THEN heading towards Bourland Meadows.

The drive towards Bourland could be a fun little day adventure. The roads up there are not clear by any means. They aren't even all open yet. Could be fun just picking our way through the woods encountering Snow, Mud, Boulders, Tree Fall, High Water... and who knows what else.

 

Anyone replace lower control arm bushings before? Did you use OEM or go Poly? Apparently my cam bolts are frozen and they can't align my truck and might as well replace the 200k bushings at the same time.
