No. If you run them at 70psi it'll ride like crap and you'll just smoke the centers out of them; have the shop set them at what it says on the door.

Edit- Even on my 2500, I've been running the fronts at 50 and the rears at 65 when I'm not loaded up instead of the recommended 60/80 to soften up the ride and save the centers a bit. I think @Pugga does the same.

Yep, I do the same. I run the fronts at 55 and the rears at 50 when I'm unloaded and have to stare at that idiot light on my dash telling me I'm going to die. I think my door sticker says 80 for the rear and 75 for the front. Even towing the camper, I only go to 65 all around. I might step to 70 in the rear if I have the bed loaded plus the camper.

Hauling that load the other week was the last time I've put them at full PSI since I took the plow off. The rest of the time I've been running them low and dealing with the TPMS light and a series of annoying 'Bing' noises whenever I start the truck.

What I heard is they'll get snow but it doesn't stick around. Could get upwards of 10" at once but it's gone in a couple days. Also assume it depends how close you are to the Rockies. Granted you're also getting snow into May...but still.

One of the things on my 'to do' list is to download ForScan again and reset the TPMS set points. I run most of the time unloaded so I have to deal with that stupid light. I want to reset it down to 50 PSI that way, if the light does come on, I know there's actually an issue.

Are you able to see the individual tire pressure in each on your dashboard?

I gotcha. I'm just questioning it because I am always told to run my trailer tires at the max pressures, but even this guy tells me to air those down a bit for the same reason you say above, I'll smoke the center and the contact patch is smaller.

I am, but the alarm still goes off.
Some of the Rams came with a 'light load' button that let you reset the TPMS threshold, but mine unfortunately wasn't one of them

Air down for local / low speed trips. Max PSI for highway. Fully inflated they'll run cooler, and be less likely to grenade on you.

I'd be fine with the alarm going off as long as I could see the tire pressure and know it's fine. If I was getting the alarm/light but couldn't see the pressure, it'd piss me off.

Yes, I can. And, when I start the truck, that screen automatically comes to the front to show me the pressures in all of my tires. After that, I can choose any screen on my dash and the TPMS light just stays on in the corner.
