The only place a K&N belongs is at the dragstrip or racetrack. Anyplace that a racer would let unfiltered air into their engine & actually like it, then a K&N is an improvement. Would not let one near anything I drive on or off-road.

I feel the same way about aftermarket drop in "performance" filters like the pro-dry aFe...I ran one of those for awhile through many miles of offroad trails and started noticing fine layer of dirt behind the filter in the intake. Promptly threw it away, been running stock paper filters since and never have any dirt behind those.

Its just simply not worth the risk, for next to no noticeable performance gain if any. But a lot of people run them and defend them. To each their own

Nice attention to detail with the blowoff valve after the 18v leaf blower. Safety first!

There is an episode of Roadkill where they bought leaf blowers and strapped them on an old Chevy Monza, IIRC they gained a couple MPH on top speed runs.

Same. I wanted to like the pro dry back in the day but it was weak. Still in my 01.

OEM set up FTW. Unless you’re tuned AND fi (which we aren’t, even though one may exist in a state of non completion) the intake and TBS and exhaust is a waste of money, and supports bullshit hype companies.

The short ram intakes without a box can make quite the noise, the Cold Air can make a " hiss " sound we use to like to call it. Most call it a whistle.

Between stock and trd cai...the top lid is larger and the flow accelerator which fits in the bottom part of the air box and sits in the fender is shaped like a velocity stack. The engine is nothing more than a gaint air pump the more air and fuel you can fit in the cylinder while the intake valve is open...the more power you’ll make.
