Anyone do this trail recently? Thinking of trying it in July. My guess is there might still be snow this year.

    Thanks.

    Just the basics
There is considerable snow still on the Sierra crest for this time of year. Lots of good webcams in the area. Mammoth ski resort as well as the airport are both good to get a visual update whenever you want.

Last I heard Mammoth was potentially going to keep the lifts open at least thru July/August, possibly all year. In other words; a shit ton of snow.

Season total this year at Mammoth summit is 718" of snow. Currently 115" at the summit (11,000').

There are some cams on this site, too.

Laurel Lakes is a fun one, too. Not too technical, and pretty short. Did it on dirtbikes years ago.
