Made the mistake of putting in LED's on a whim (in the halogen housing). I was that a-hole who blinded everyone and could not see myself. Pull them out and dropped my halogens back in to an immediate improvement...problem is when they installed my LED's they cut the boot on the back so within 2 days i had condensation in both of my lights. Replaced the boots and both lights eventually cleared but the one has come back so I am guessing the headlight itself needs replaced. I want to upgrade but have no idea what i want. Also want to install myself over the 450.00 the dealer wants just to install. Looking for advice. Thanks all...this is my 4th Taco...started in 96, 00, 09 and now 13! 20190606_130618.jpg

Stock is best for most light output.

I would look as Spyder automotive if you want to change em out.

(Spyder are OEM/DOT compliant....majority of others are not. If you are in a state that does inspections, non DOT can prevent a positive result.)

Search for ultimate headlight upgrade....there is a very long thread about all this.

Goto “Forums”, “Lighting”. Do some reading to see what others have done.

i was looking at the spyder's but not sure to go halogen or projector. I have heard good and bad about LED projectors. My biggest concern is the seal...which the LED spyders claim to be fully sealed.

One of mine are not fully sealed. But I paid 400 to have them put in. So I have to figure out how to reseal them. (Spyder led)

Throw in a couple of GEL SILICA packs in the headlights, it will absorb the moisture.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you could go and buy new OEM headlights and retrofit them with projectors. You can run LED and HID, and they look really clean! There's a few people on here that do them but you could always do them yourself. Check out some output shots and you'll be sold

You can find used OEM headlight housings pretty easily. (Lots of folks take them out to replace them with inferior housings that look cool.) Grab a set and go with the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade. You'll never look back.

I upgraded mine to Depo headlights. They seem to be holding up well!
