Step bars fit DC -- EC

Trying to mount lund step bars, supposedly for my truck - 2005 EC. however rear brackets, if mounted on the only possible holes on the vehicle body - do not fit the bolt holes on the bar itself. This is a second pare i buy from o'reilly and same story. Looks like the bars are made for the EC. Anyone with an experience on that?? Should i just weld the bar side of the bracket??

 

Double Cab steps/running boards/nerf bars/etc. don't fit Access Cab models. Have you checked the part number you keep buying against the Lund website, to verify fitment? Or called Lund for tech support?
