I like that the OP makes a simple(& fair) observation and the first page(all I read) is just people shitting on him(typical TacomaWorld)

It’s simple, if you don’t take care of your shit, you’re lazy. Doesn’t make you a bad person, & you definitely have that right. But I also have the right to call you lazy for not throwing shit away.

Totally agree. Compared to me, my wife always looks good and well put together, but her car is a pigsty inside and out. Looking at her, you’d never know she’s a car slob....

There are two types of Tacoma owners. The middle two thread titles describe them pretty well.

I think the two types of Tacoma owners are:

    1- Tacoma owners (right on!)
2- Should have bought a different vehicle Tacoma owners (goddam....cue the complaining)

Easiest way to rule out any unlikely, but possible external knocks/noises. When making the call on a bad engine, it’s better to be safe than sorry.....I get him.

Never something I ever did. First was to turn engine over by hand. If anything refused to move then that got attention first.

Why he did not check oil level first is another question......

OMG - ever heard of a car wash? They are all over the place - never even have to get out of the car. They even spray the undercarriage.

So you just don't clean the salt off for the entire winter?

I'll just say this: if your truck/car ever smells like really bad BO (like that episode of Seinfeld where the valet had BO and then car smelled like BO for weeks after and he couldn't get rid of the smell even after professional cleaning and couldn't sell it either so finally parked it and left the keys in it and walked away) - find the tiny piece of diced onion that fell off your sandwich. It is simply amazing how bad something so small can smell. Took me a week to find it and could not believe it was the culprit.
