Hoping someone from Wyoming can help or share some info, i live on border of CO/WY and want to explore more of WY and noticed you guys have some awesome lakes, like Pathfinder Reservoir Seminole and few others, are you allowed to do on shore boondocking camping? or is it only specific camping grounds? i cant tell if land around them private or blm, and some show alot of trails and some none, was curious.

any input or if u can share spot pm me

I'm obviously not local, but I have a pretty good google-fu...

Some of Pathfinder, for example is within the Pathfinder National Wildlife Refuge. My guess there is that camping is restricted to developed sites at least in those areas. I didn't see any mention of camping in non-developed sites on this site (below). My rule of thumb is if they don't say it explicitly, it's probably not allowed. The only mention of camping at the water's edge is when the reservoir water level is high, and that's talking about developed sites. It does appear to be at least managed by BLM, but that doesn't mean you can camp anywhere.

There's contact info here for the BLM office in charge of managing the area:

i found alot same info but curious about locals, because when overviewing this with GAIA shows all land expcet few spots around reserve as blm, so i assume can be boondock camped. but was curious if any locals know about that or have suggestions what side to camp.

It's not actually BLM as far as I saw, just managed by BLM (It's BOR land managed by BLM or the Park dept or whatever)... so I wouldn't assume you can boondock. I'm not 100% sure that you are even guaranteed to be able to boondock even if it's BLM, as I think there are at least some restrictions on BLM land.

I'd just call the office if you want to know for sure.
