Diode Dynamics is excited to announce our Stealth LED Light Bar Kit for the 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma! Computer-designed specifically for the Tacoma, this LED light bar kit secures a 30” Stage Series LED Light Bar using factory mounting points. There is NO cutting or drilling needed!

The included steel powdercoated brackets allow you to easily mount the 30" Stage Series LED Light Bar in the factory lower grille opening. Again, these brackets use OEM mounting points, so you won’t have to modify your Tacoma! This Stealth LED Light Bar Kit retains the factory lower grille for a clean, OEM-like appearance. Additionally, if preferred, the lower grille can be modified to make the light bar more visible.

Diode Dynamics Stage Series Light Bars have been designed using optical simulation modeling, for maximum functionality. Their custom-engineered TIR optics provide FAR more usable light output than much larger, heavier generic LED light bars. Depending on your auxiliary lighting needs, you can order our Stealth LED Light Bar Kit with a white or amber light bar, with the following optic options:

Driving: The Driving pattern was designed to supplement your high beams. Rather than a simple "spot" pattern, the Stage Series Driving pattern has a rectangular 20Wx8H degree pattern that is far more useful for directing light downrange at high speeds.

Flood: The Flood pattern was designed to provide uniform, even illumination and a full 80Wx50H degree spread of light. Unlike generic "flood" light optics that are simply a heavily diffused spot, our flood optic is a true optically designed spread, resulting in the biggest spread in the industry! It is perfect for lighting up anything at low speeds, a backup or reverse light, or to light up a worksite.

Combo: The Combo pattern combines both the Driving and Flood optics. It shines light downrange in a focused, rectangular 20Wx8H degree pattern while also illuminating area around it in a full 80Wx50H degree spread. The Stage Series 30" Combo Light Bar features three driving lenses in the middle with two flood lenses on the outer edges.

Why aren't these brackets aluminum? I just realized they are powder coated steel and will probably rust within a year in Florida...

 

Review/thoughts coming soon. Received mine today and am installing now.

 

Definitely keep us posted on your thoughts! Regarding the bracket material, our engineers report that an aluminum solution would likely be too soft for the abuse our kits endure off-road.

Even if the bracket didn't bend right away, it's entirely possible that the mounting points could shear if jolted hard enough.

@Diode Dynamics Please can you clarify the electrical interface? Does it plug/play in parallel with the high beam circuit? Do I need to supply a relay/relay harness/cabin switch? Please specify mating connector (manufacturer/part#) I need to supply and pinout. If I am designing/supplying harness, what is the steady state current draw of the amber combo light bar on battery voltage (engine off), or running engine, whichever higher?

Sorry if this is stated somewhere, I looked but did not find.

Do you have any pictures of a tacoma with one of your light bars in amber? I can’t find any.

 

Great question!

After doing some digging, it appears as though we haven't received any installed images of the Stealth Kit with an amber LED bar.

I'll keep my eyes open, and post as soon as I come across some!
