Doesn't seem to be a bad deal but sounds like they're trying to use the mods as a selling point. It's a 2.7L and your mower/trailer weight would be really close to max towing for the 4cyl.

I know location matters, but its overpriced if you ask me. I paid not much more than that for a 2012 VC, DC, 4wd, TRD OR with only 55k on the clock. Its a dealer so if your willing to play hardball come in low (17k maybe?) and see what they counter with, stick to your guns and be ready to walk away if they don't want to play.

Bottom line is I wouldn't pay what their asking for it.

Thanks for the advice. I’m still shopping around but this one hits all the check boxes in what I’m looking for minus maybe being a 4 cyl.

If your looking at holding it for awhile I would go with a V6 for sure.

Overpriced imo. I got my 09 4cyl access cab 5spd for 20,555 brand new. This one has 67k miles but it is 4wd unlike mine, so it has that goig for it, but still a little pricey

Tacoma’s aren’t work trucks don’t waste your money. Buy a regular cab long bed full sized (4x2) for a fraction of the price and it can take much more of a beating

Dealers are always going to price way over. Most people will pay whatever the sticker is and that's what the dealership is counting on. You can have some fun with negotiating/screwing with them if your ready to walk away.

Remember, its just a truck and there are more out there. The dealer has to sell it but you don't have to buy it.

I've towed 3500lb with my 3RZ first gen... it did good considering what it is, but damn it was a dog. Dunno what that weighs as a 2nd gen, mine was also an extended cab, with tube bumper, a winch and 32s it sat around 4500lb light. Maybe if it were all flat, traffic wasn't crazy, and you already owned it... but you don't already own it, so I'd pass and look for a V6.

I didn't look at any 12+ 4-bangers when I was looking, but the 09-11s I looked at, it seemed like the 4 cylinder was about a $3k hit compared to a V6. The miles are pretty low, but the price seems high to me.

Good deal if you ask me,if a 4 cyl works for you, get them down in price a little.
