2012 TRD Off-Road Access Cab CEL-codes

2012 V6 Access Cab TRD ..Hello been blessed with 154k trouble free miles until today. CEL and Trac Control light came on and truck is bogged down bad no power or speed above 40ish. Stopped by Auto Zone and they pulled a couple codes. One that came up 5 times was P2442 Secondary air injection system switching valve stuck open. Another code that came up once was P1604 startability.
Where do I start people? I really dont want to roll into a dealer and get lit up. Thanks .

I believe that secondary air system for 2012's now has some warranty coverage. Check with your dealer first.

 

Do a search on this forum for "secondary air injection". Might be a nasty thing & price from the dealer, you might want to try a fix yourself. Do check for warranty coverage though, free fix is best, check the threads though, there is a option so it doesn't happen again.
