So something causing abnormal wear or just the tire?

Tires can wear on the leading and trailing edges normally if they are on the drive axle or non drive axle too long. This is a normal wear pattern to see on tires that are not rotated enough, M/T tend to need to be rotated often like ever 5000 tops! I would recc. more often like 3k. Also any alignment wear tends to show up a lot more on them. Once a tire has abnormal wear it is almost impossible to get it back even.

So I am talking about lugs on the tire and one set side to side is low high and the next two lugs are opposite high low. So traveling around the tire you go high/low on the outer lugs while low/high on the inner lug. I’d take a pic but it doesn’t show but just running your hand across it and to the eye it is evident.

Rotation hides the problems while. Putting them on the back allows them to smooth out before rotating back up front.

Kinda but not really if he doesn't like the ride sell the M/Ts and get some aggressive ATs thats about all you can do M/Ts are very temperamental with maintenance, alignment, balancing.

He likes the tires just was wondering if we had a problem causing abnormal wear.

    Thanks for all the input.

Ok, it't no big deal. Your definition of lugs is my definition of tread. To me, a lug on the tire is the nut that holds the wheel/tire assy to the axle, but I get what your saying.

Looking at the drive pdf, specifically at the Cupping / Scalloping / Alternate lug wear seems to best show what I'm picturing what you're saying. If that's the case, it is suggesting that you check for mechanical failure of the suspension which you could follow what I suggested in my previous post.
