it was a pleasure placing these on the the truck. bolt these to your leafs, then to the shackle hanger, and finally put the shackle hanger to the frame

 

What's the advantage of these versus standard shackles? Pure ability to withstand off-road onslaughts? Do they pair with specific leaf packs? For reference, I've got Icon RXTs waiting for installation.

 

There are two main advantages that I purchased them for.

1. Non binding. The factory shackles are locked into place by bolt torque. This was causing me some issues when under load on freeways with washboard where the truck would bounce in the rear.

2. Greasable. To make good and sure they don’t bind.

I don’t do much off roading but would imagine they would be tough and add extra articulation as well.

I am not sure if they fit with the icon springs without modifying the spring. They are a replacement for the factory shackle so are not built for a specific spring. However, they do indicate on there website that certain springs may need to be modified.
