Plenty solid without it. If I ever make it up to Alaska/the Yukon, I'll toss it on. Not needed when you crawl the malls unless you're going for full EAF status at the mall.

Thanks man! It was a fun time for sure!

Limb risers are nice for that and I suppose you could turn the ram head around 180 degrees so branches don't grab the snorkel head.

Sunday's ORV park had some more features to it than it did 2 (?) years ago when I went. They added a back woods trail run that was tight AF that I wish I ran my limb risers but nothing that crazy where it would tug at the snorkel. Shit was so tight that a full size could definitely not fit. Homeboy cut it so really only his excavator could cut and fit in the event someone needed a recovery.

Summer hours started today so I got off work at 1. Thank God too after the week I've had.

Came home and prepped for tomorrow morning:

    1110E645-49EB-4944-B509-D9D5BDC58851.jpg

    - BAMF install
    - prep spindles
    - back to black on handles etc

    BD753B3C-9C08-4F2C-A4A8-35BAF75A71F2.jpg

    Adam's order came in:

    New lights from my sponsor:

    NEW VS. OLD

    F5927BB3-BB4C-4A96-AD65-5187BB405724.jpg

Old one just stopped working all together. The new ones have a breather so hopefully no more moisture issues.

    Finished:

Good night's rest, gym in the morning then I'll come home and start. Impact is charged and ready to do work! Aiming for 2 hours and hoping to have the crossbrace mocked up and ready to be dropped off for welding.

Not a bad start to the weekend

Long day and I am beat but it's done. Took about 3 hours with mocking up the crossbrace:

"Rot" sanded and painted (wasn't much)

    0927E381-EC5F-4FEE-9199-493D96E8A4AC.jpg

2nd leafs trimmed per the thread write-up:

    Anti-seize for good measure:

First side took the longest (as usual)

    CF872DBE-0391-4F40-AAB5-F7AAE012C150.jpg

DONE! Mock-up for the crossbrace finished!

    7B459074-C3B6-4758-A301-8095EA66AAE7.jpg

Cleaned up and showered and went to the new local 5.11 Tactical store and spent some money:

    516F974D-FFEE-444C-8A98-7441745B2AAD.jpg

    Free tactical apron!!!

    B870FA4D-B158-4C44-8703-4DC7D86A1095.jpg

It was not all fun; business too!! Manager at the 5.11 store wants to partner with Crawlers and Coffee and host some events etc. We will be talking more soon and coming up with bigger and better things to do locally, but he was impressed. Gave him a walk around of the rig and talked shop. Great guy!

    Today was a great day!

Got home from work last night and got a few things done:

    - touched up some paint on the BAMF hangers from the install on Saturday
    - Mother's back to black on the door handles
    - installed new front turn signal LED bulbs from Diode Dynamics

    F12A0669-65D3-45B6-99D2-80F0730F40BB.jpg

    Stock (passenger) vs. LED (driver)

    EFA5C825-E7CC-4041-BBA2-E8D318074638.jpg

    Done! With no hyperflash either.

    12AE80ED-AF63-4487-B99D-AA895E8C0A26.jpg

I would HIGHLY recommend these bulbs. They are very, very high quality compared to the ones I received previously. Pic from the previous LEDs:

    upload_2019-6-11_8-0-34.jpg

    (^FV lighting)

The fronts were a test for the bigger issue which are the rear turn signals. I had not been able to find LEDs for the front that (1) worked (2) no hyperflash and (3) weren't crap quality. I've tried mattgeckos, fv lighting, Amazon choice LEDs, AVEC (Hahaha) amongst others IIRC. Nothing worked. These ones fit without any issues or modifications. 30 seconds from opening to closing the hood. My rear turn signals are going out. I don't think people can see them. Last night someone almost rear ended me when I was turning off a busy street to get home.

I was so happy with the fronts and I IMMEDIATELY ordered rear turns after I completed the installation.

    12/10 would recommend.

    Happy Friday everyone!!!

    First off...

    :spending:

I placed an order for some Whiteline W53312 LCA bushings. While the new ones are out, I thought it would be a good idea to swap them now before they go in to the truck. I have heard very good things about them and I look forward to the front end makeover.

If you are looking at ordering a set, hit up @eccracer104 for a price break!

Things are not going as planned this weekend. I was going to go to the ORV park this weekend; particularly tomorrow early morning then drive back in the afternoon. Few factors impacting my decision to NOT attend:

    1) weather; storms all day tomorrow. It would be fine, I am sure, just not really in the mood.
    2) Still have a few things to button up before I am really ready to hit the trails. Just ran out of time essentially.
    3) Followed up with the local group and there are maybe 2 other people confirmed going tomorrow. Not really worth it. Especially if they wake up and see the weather or have been following the weather closely as I have. No thanks.
    4) Housewarming party next Saturday and there is PLENTY to do and get ready for!
    5) Limited time on the trails; I want to get there when they open 9am and leave no later than 3pm. I don't want to show up, be the only one again, puts around for 3 hours at most and then leave. Fuck that. I HATE WHERE I LIVE! (State)

Next, my Marlin Kit showed up at the house! Stoked for this kit and I wish Marlin all the best with it!

Next, I confirmed with the local 4x4 shop that I can get my BAMF brace tacked up at their open house event next Saturday! My hope is to have it done there, maybe, and have it painted and mounted up Sunday (following day)! My plan is to take the Marlin Kit to the event, show it off and get a quote for that to be done soon too along with Whiteline bushing and LCA/cam bolt swap. The quote should be no where near what the TC kit was ($500)..I guess we will see. I still plan to make it to Connor's house for the MC kit, I am more curious to see what the quote would be for this new kit that you don't have to remove anything to install (maybe the LCA skids).

This weekend's to-do list not counting the things for the housewarming:

    - get replacement grade 8 bolt to replaced the one from BAMF that snapped in half; this Milwaukee impact is BEEF :muscleflexing:
    - Install rear Diode Dynamics rear turn signals
    - finish DIY tailgate cable mod
    - SPINDLES!!!!!!
    - retorque BAMF hanger bolts and test flex
    - re-attempt replacement bumper hinge pin removal and swap for a good one; old one is seized

It'll be you, @fatfurious2 , and @NunyaBizness. It'll be Conner's house for wayward Toyota refugees. I'm working on the 501c3 status rn.

I see you Randall, btw. I am hoping to flex the truck out fully this weekend and verify everything cycles properly. Reason #2 above on why I am not heading out on the trails this weekend:
