thats a hard no. definitely less noticable with the higher gears where the change in rpm is minimal between gears but also definitely still a problem.

Yup the rev hang is definitely present shifting at all gears but I think at its worst coming to a stop at redlights. And hotter the temperature outside the longer it hangs.

After testing a rev hang tune from @JustDSM, rev hang is gone. I will report back after I get to drive the truck more this weekend.

Be careful on disabling rev hang entirely. Back when I was on the LS scene the T56 equipped GTOs were busting mounts, carrier bearings, ruining flywheels, clutches, and destroying rear ends due to all the drivetrain shock of 300+ HP rushing through all at once during spirited shifting. Granted those were IRS rear ends, but the caution is still there.

This is a little different than that. Shifting is smoother now. RPM's drop right where it can drop into the next gear. So less shock for my drivetrain. Before I had to kinda wait until the RPM's dropped to where it could go into gear.

Concur! Still getting used to being able to shift normally, but I LIKE the test tune!

    Excellent!

It's coming down the pipe shortly thanks to JustDSM and Chris and others at HPTuners. It is awesome, the transmission feels like it always should have, nice and crisp. And it sounds like it's going to be tuneable for feel too.

Is this the device I need to make my AT feel like it knows what it wants to do instead of constantly lagging behind my foot?

It's part of the idle airflow calculation, in GM land we would call it Throttle Cracker so that's what i've called it :)
