You bastards, you’ve finally done it. I’ve been chrome-shamed into submission. Figure it’ll work much better with the new XB headlights when they arrive.

For the summer I have a lot of heavy duty projects lined up which will require carrying heavy lumber, bags of concrete, etc.

    So first I bought these:

Then I removed the old ones

    Then installed them

    And after I did this

    No bro lean!:D

Sure wouldn’t mind purchasing your OEM hitch, if I lived closer.

Finally got the lift and tires in.

Big thanks to TW forum members and all their posts. Literally found answers to all my questions and installed my first lift (only took all night, rolled in for the alignment at 8:30am) with the information already on the forum. The search function is an amazing thing folks

Bilsteins and OME 887 springs in the front. OME Nitrosport and Dakar leaf packs in the back. Taco lean spacer. Spidertrax wheel spacers. Duratracs C load 265/75/16s. Wheel blackout and TRD vinyl (thanks again @SimplyMuggle for tracking my order down from USPS, top rate seller!) Oh, and of course the custom TRD decal. Go Cougs!

I put my old short bed one in my long bed, figured I might as well instead of spend more money on a long bed mat. Works just as good lol.

It's neither. Not really sure what to call it. I initially thought I was just ordering vinyl also but was it wasn't and I pleasantly surprised. I can snap a close up pic of it tomorrow if yous like.

I can’t speak for all types. I have the smart key and for that it was intercept the wiring with the N2 harness then hook up the harness to the control box push a button down then push the “push to start” twice and wait a second for some flashing on the control box then hit the “push to start” one more time and that’s it. In a nutshell

I have a bunch of pending stuff to do, but kids, school and family life have taken priority over anything Tacoma related. This morning I got up early, took the truck to get a coffee and returned home. After nearly 2 months of sitting on a pair of Morimoto amber fogs and about a month on a set of SR5 fog bezels, I got both installed in about 30 minutes. An earlier post said it exactly, that there's answers to pretty much anything Tacoma related here. Youtube had 2 different videos on how to install/ replace OEM foglights, both had disassembly of the grille or wheel wells to access them. I had watched a post here about removing them from the the top behind the headlights, with a stubby screwdriver. Took all of 5 minutes to remove both lights and bezels. First one, quick connect the wires and installed, tested in 5 minutes. All good. Second one, because it was early and I hadn't finished my coffee, spent 10 minutes trying to insert the light wires into the wrong end of the quick connect. Realizing my stupidity, tried the wires in the correct end and it worked perfectly, installed, tested. all good, finally! Wife just happened to come out of the house as I was about to drop the hood, asks what I was doing.....just checking the oil! She'll never notice the swap, but it's another off of the to do list! Happy Father's Day weekend to all! Bill in MA

I will recommend softopper all day everyday. Versatility, fit, finish are all on point. YMMV, but I looooooove mine.
