So I finally fixed what Toyota got wrong to start with. I don’t need all the extra technology and entertainment stuff, so therefore they leave you with chrome bumper end caps which look hideous in my opinion. I finally fixed that little problem.

I bought an Off Road for the rear locker etc. but I didn’t want all the extra stuff and it had to be a manual. I couldn’t stand these chrome end caps any longer so I found a great deal and hand them painted. Cheap fix and I didn’t want the covers so I did it my way. Glad I did.

PS I hope this doesn’t turn into a dumpster fire. I just wanted to show that we can fix Toyota’s wrongs. Lol!

    It's getting there.
how was your re-install? Mine was a bear when I plasti-dipped them and I think I left a clip off on each side that I couldn't get back on.

Definitely one of the best simple mods you can do. I can’t believe they even make the chrome ones

I agree. I wish they at least offered a painted add on. Tons of owners would buy them which means more revenue for Toyota. Either way I finally did it and I’m happy to get rid of the chrome.

It wasn’t too bad to get the clips back on. This video is long but he is a great resource for a good way to get the clips back on. Towards the end of the vid. I used this approach and it worked well.
