    Howdy,

May be in the market for a new 2019 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4 .

Which options are the best to get with it?

Shopping for Tundras they have a myriad of option in the basic SR5 TRD package. I've seen them with dual exhaust, almost pro type grill, different wheels etc...

I gotta keep it under ~$36K on the Taco...

Want to be educated and try to squeeze the dealer for a change!

    Thanks!

Depends on region too. What state you buying in? And are you looking for 36k out the door? Or before taxes and etc...

Depending on where you are or offered rebates, 36k is generally the basic OR. At least that’s what you can expect here.

Averaging 37k out the door here for OR, DC... no OR 4x2s getting sold in these parts.

You can negotiate fully loaded OR 4x4 down to $36,000-36500. That's what I got mine for.

38k for the 4x4 here. Theres no survival requirement here for them so its mainly a feature 90% of owners here wont use so they charge well for it.

    Wow!

Well I see $35K for an Access Cab 4x4 in AZ plus I've dealt with dealer before and they have a LOT of them in stock...

Closer to $36 with technology package and a few others... that's what I was driving at... seeing what i can get tossed in as incentives :D

    Thanks

I think that’s what most of us were getting at. You’re not going to get stuff thrown in very often with a Tacoma. At least not here, demand for trucks is way too high. The Tacoma doesn’t usually need a lot of bribery to get them off the lot. Maybe late July or August you can swing something with a 19’ after the 20’s start rolling in.

I guess "thrown in" is a misnomer... For instance my Tundra came with all kinds of "extras" dual exhaust, bed liner.... at no "extra" cost. Maybe it's rolled in the final price but I was getting higher quotes from dealers with less deals. In fact one was asking MORE for a base model with "bench seat" and column shifter! No even SR5 or OR package... just 4x4 for $4k more than I paid!

So if I hadn't shopped I'd have thought the base was the "base" instead of being ripped off by dealer....

Plus dealer inventory I'm checking is ~75 Tacomas...

To give you an idea my 2019 TRD OR DCSB Auto 4x4 with Tech package and a few dealer installed accessories was $35,741.00 before TTL in April (they were running a nice rebate). That was the price I got through TrueCar. I asked around and was told it's not going to get any better than that. This is in SoCal btw.

You may luck out then. From what I’ve seen, it’s pretty relative to what’s on hand and what your looking for. I wanted tech w/out tonneau cover but cement OR, DC was my priority. Ended up with cement OR, DC w/ tonneau and no tech. Had to have a dealer swap from out of state to get a cement. I’ve heard of a lot of guys getting blackout kits that didn’t really want them. With 75 on lot, I’d think you run decent odds of maybe a couple small things. Again, super relative to location, dealer inventory, etc...

I went with Tech and Premium with nothing else. You can add better for less. Why finance stuff you're gonna replace or just buy someone else's take offs and save a lot.

I saw a 'brand new' Silver 2019 Access Cab OR (1K miles with Moroney sticker still on) with extras for 33408 (their no haggle price) on the CARMAX site in Laurel, MD.
