I have - O - luck with forum search functions, here also. Can someone lead me to the topic I saw years ago on the tail gate reinforcement piece that fits over the top? Every time I load a motorcycle I think about why haven't I done that yet!

Which piece the one that raps over the top rail of the tailgate or the one that replaces the inner skin of the tailgate.

I ordered the Relentless one back in April and still don't have it. I finally got a call back from them last week saying it was out for powder coating and should ship this week. I was about to cancel the order. It hit my credit card weeks ago.
Will report on it once I receive it.

3/4" exterior plywood 54 1/2" X 22". The edge overlaps the tailgate 2 1/4", so you can clamp whatever you're working on. Fits against the back bed posts, and slides in between the tailgate support cables. Lower the tailgate, slide it in place. It won't move. No fasteners needed. The tailgate cables, the fit at the corner posts and the weight of the wood, keep it in place. Distributes weight evenly over the entire tailgate, I can stand on it, use it for loading heavy chit, perfect height for a field workbench, shooting bench, ramps to load up an ATV, mower, etc. I had 6 full jerry cans on it today plus me standing on it, around 400lbs. If you do this, watch the cables and their connection points, you could overstress them. Mine are still fine, after much use for years. Common sense should prevail.
I slide it under the bed mat for storage, both sides stay dry, doesn't move around, doesn't make the mat flap in the wind. I forget it's there, until I need it, and it was basically free.

Had my relentless fab reinforcement for 4 years now. It’s one of the best mods available.

Thanks for the links and comments! Top piece is what I wanted, but now also aware of the other inner panel part.
I had stopped in at a local Truck accessories shop to inquire. He was clueless! Seemed odd as that is all they do, sell after market truck stuff. He had me thinking I was mis-informed. I think I'll stop in and mention this site!!

Made my own from a $20 20ga steel cabinet door bought at the scrap yard. Installed the stock cover over it. I forget it is there until I have to lift up the gate.
